This statue of Roosevelt is located on Theodore Roosevelt Island, a small island located in the Potomac River just west of downtown Washington. The island memorial, which doubles as a bit of a bird sanctuary in the city, was dedicated to Roosevelt and his enthusiasm for the outdoors. Nature trails can be found on the small island. |
